I use photography as my conservation tool. I believe that people protect what they love, and one way to make someone fall in love with a place is to bring them there, physically or visually. Telling visual stories of heartbreak and beauty is a great way to deliver an emotional experience to the viewer. Happiness, sadness and anger are all emotions that can be used as fuel for inspiration. It’s hard to know where to place all that inspiration, so my advice to you is to use the tools that you have, your skills, your gifts, to make change.
If you are a teacher, teach your student(s) to be more climate aware. If you are a parent, bring up your kids to love and appreciate the natural world, if you are a coffee barrister, convince the team to become an environmentally friendly café. Become the first plastic-free café in your town…
